Wanting to do something to help the people of India?
Over this past year we’ve all come to realize how important our circle of friendship and support is and how interconnected we all are. Now here’s an opportunity to strengthen your own circle whilst also expanding it to include those in need in India.
We’ve also learnt that projects that directly help people are most effective. A small grass roots project by the Sevanjali Charitable Trust in Mangalore, the hometown of my friend Padmini Pai, is providing practical support right now. Ensuring no one sleeps on an empty stomach as access to food outlets have been restricted and most of the daily wage earners have no means of earning. The youth have been distributing food to more than 3,000 people every day costing 30,000 (INR) = AUS$600. They have also have made arrangements to supply oxygen cylinders to those in need.
We’re seeking 50 people to raise $100 each so we can send $5000 to feed 25,000 meals.
Here’s some ideas for raising your $100 target
* Invite 10 friends for morning or afternoon tea for $10 each
* Invite 5 friends for lunch or dinner for $20 each
* Kids could invite 20 friends for a picnic or games for $5 each
Or you can make a donation, just $10 will feel 50 people.

We’re aiming to raise $5,000 before 30th June 2021 so people can be assisted as soon as possible.
